Travelling from Sweden to celebrate their marriage in the UK, Rita and Tom chose Thornton Manor as the setting for their day — and it couldn’t have been more dramatic. It was quite literally the coldest and windiest day of the year, with icy gusts sweeping across the grounds and winter skies rolling in overhead. And yet somehow, that only added to the magic.

Thornton Manor is one of those rare venues that feels cinematic the moment you arrive. Grand, elegant, and steeped in history, every space offers something visually beautiful — from the sweeping staircase and ornate interiors to the endless views across the gardens. It’s a dream location for couples who want their wedding photography to feel timeless, refined, and full of story.

Inside, the warmth of family, laughter, and candlelight created a perfect contrast to the wild winter weather outside. Rita and Tom’s day felt intimate, calm, and deeply personal — the kind of wedding where the emotion is subtle but powerful.
