Wedding Photography at Peckforton Castle - Chaya & Edward’s Winter Wedding
Discover a micro 5hr winter wedding at Peckforton Castle, captured on the darkest day of the year with a quiet sense of elegance and atmosphere. From dramatic castle interiors to intimate, emotive moments throughout the day.
A winter wedding at Peckforton Castle carries a certain atmosphere — early dusk settling over the stone walls, candlelight warming the interiors, and a quiet sense of intimacy that grows as the day unfolds.
Chaya & Edward embraced that magic fully for their December celebration, creating a day that felt elegant, relaxed, and deeply personal from beginning to end.
Their celebration unfolded over the afternoon and evening, with a smaller guest list that allowed the day to move at an unhurried pace. From preparations through to the evening celebrations, every part of the story was shaped by warmth, connection, and thoughtful details.
Love to hear more about your plans.

Wedding Photography at Bartle Hall - Lisa & Nathan’s Summer Wedding
Discover a romantic summer wedding at Bartle Hall by Amaris Lux Photography, a storyteller wedding photographer based in Cheshire.
Bartle Hall provided the perfect setting for Nathan & Lisa’s summer wedding — a day filled with warmth, light, and an effortless sense of joy.
Set within the gardens in Preston, their celebration unfolded under soft summer sunshine, with gentle breezes and laughter carrying through the day. Lisa stepped into the gardens framed by blossom, her dress catching the light as the afternoon settled into something relaxed and unhurried.
Nathan watched it all with quiet admiration — the kind that doesn’t need words. From those first moments together through to the golden hour glow later in the day, their wedding felt intimate, joyful, and deeply connected.
Bartle Hall’s gardens and surrounding grounds offered a beautiful balance of elegance and ease, allowing the story of the day to unfold naturally — moments shared, glances exchanged, and memories made without interruption.
Wedding Photography at Mottram Hall
A collection of weddings shaped by light, landscape, and quiet moments at Mottram Hall.
Few venues in Cheshire blend classic English grandeur with modern elegance quite like Mottram Hall. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, it’s a setting that offers every photographer’s dream — sweeping architecture, golden light filtering through grand windows, and a sense of timeless romance in every frame. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several weddings here, each one unique, yet always defined by the same refined atmosphere and emotional depth that make Mottram Hall so special.
From morning preparations in the serene bridal suite to champagne toasts on the manicured lawns, every detail comes alive in this remarkable space — a true canvas for capturing love stories that feel as enduring as the setting itself.
Carla & Dominic - Gorton Monastery Wedding Photography, Manchester
A wedding shaped by history, atmosphere, and the quiet drama of Gorton Monastery.
In Manchester, there are certain wedding venues that stay with you long after the day has ended.
Places where architecture, light and atmosphere work together quietly and confidently.
Gorton Monastery is one of those venues.
Known formally as The Friary of St Francis, Gorton, it remains one of Manchester’s most distinctive historic wedding venues. Red brick and carved stone. Gothic arches with a distinctly European character. From the outside, the scale is unmistakable. Inside, the atmosphere settles. Light filters through stained glass. Long stone aisles draw the eye forward. Structure and symmetry create a natural calm.
It frames people beautifully.
As a Manchester wedding photographer, what stands out most about wedding photography at Gorton Monastery is space. Space to move quietly.
Space for light to rest across faces and for moments to unfold without interruption.
On Carla and Dominic’s wedding day, sunlight filled the interior, illuminating the stonework with clarity and warmth. The ceremony room carries sound gently. Breath. Quiet laughter. The brief pause before vows. When the experience feels grounded, the photographs do too.
A Considered, Personal Celebration
The morning unfolded steadily. Preparations without rush. Guests arriving beneath the arches. Conversation building naturally before the ceremony.
Carla and Dominic exchanged vows beneath the vaulted ceilings, surrounded by the scale of the architecture and the closeness of those around them. The setting brought presence; the emotion remained personal and understated.
Throughout the day, I worked as I always do — observant and measured, allowing moments to breathe while offering light, considered direction where appropriate. The result is imagery that feels natural yet refined: documentary in approach with a subtle editorial finish.
Guests greeting one another along the cloisters. A quiet moment together before rejoining the reception. These are the frames that endure.
Gorton Monastery as a Manchester Wedding Venue
The cloisters remain one of the defining features for Gorton Monastery wedding photography. Clean lines. Depth. Repetition. They provide a strong architectural foundation that allows portraits to feel composed and effortless.
A wedding at Gorton Monastery in Manchester does not rely on embellishment. Whether intimate or larger in scale, the building gives each celebration a sense of occasion without overpowering the people within it.
My approach remains consistent — calm, observational and considered. The setting supports the story. The focus remains on the couple.
If you are planning a wedding at Gorton Monastery and value natural, documentary-led wedding
photography in Manchester, I would welcome a conversation.
