The Photographer
Photography shaped by instinct, cinema and the beauty of real moments
I'm Paul. I photograph weddings for couples who care about how their day is remembered — not just recorded.
My approach is rooted in documentary storytelling, shaped by over fifteen years of experience, a lifelong love of cinema, and a deep belief that the most powerful photographs are the ones that feel true.
"I believe the most powerful wedding photographs are the ones that feel real — elevated by thoughtful composition, light, and timing."
The Story
Shaped by travel, light and the moments that last
I married my wife Tamara in South Africa's Kruger National Park — an experience shaped by raw landscapes, remarkable people, and a powerful sense of atmosphere and light. That experience changed how I see the world, and it's present in every frame I make.
Alongside a lifelong love of cinema, it has influenced the way I document stories through imagery that feels immersive and emotive — not just technically accomplished, but genuinely felt.
When I photograph a wedding, my focus is simple: to tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, calmly, thoughtfully, and with artistic elegance. Above all, I want you to feel comfortable and fully present — trusting that your wedding is being captured with care, balance and intention.

Documentary instinct
I observe more than I direct. I read the room, anticipate moments, and respond to how the day actually unfolds — never imposing a script on a story that's already there.
0 2
Editorial sensibility
I care deeply about how your images feel, not just how they look. Every photo I make is considered — the light, the framing, the quiet in-between moments that often say the most about your day.

Calm presence
Weddings are full of moving parts and big emotions, and the last thing you need is another person adding to the noise. I'll be there — present, unobtrusive, and ready — so you can simply enjoy every moment as it happens.
