Some wedding days arrive quietly and leave a lasting impression — and Maya and Georgi’s beautiful winter wedding at Mottram Hall was exactly that.

We first met at a wedding fair just weeks before their big day, and sometimes that kind of timing feels like fate. From the moment they described their plans, I knew this was going to be a wedding filled with warmth, elegance, and genuine connection — the kind that photographs beautifully without ever needing to be forced.

Mottram Hall in winter has its own kind of magic. The soft glow of candlelight, the historic interiors, and the rich seasonal tones create an atmosphere that feels intimate and romantic, especially as the natural light fades early in the day. Maya and Georgi’s ceremony space was styled with a refined, winter-inspired aesthetic — understated, cosy, and effortlessly elegant.

Low winter light doesn’t take away from the beauty of a wedding day — it simply changes how it’s told. The mood softens, the pace slows, and the focus shifts to atmosphere, connection, and the subtle moments that unfold naturally.

Despite the chill in the air, Maya and Georgi were happy to step outside for a few portraits in the final light of the afternoon. That brief window before sunset is always something special — quiet, intimate, and impossible to recreate. Those few minutes often become some of the most treasured images of the day.
